Wednesday May 24, 2023
This week I had the privilege to chat to Ulverstone Boy Shaun Cox who’s spent the last 15 or so years working and travelling all over the world. This is a great insight into living the jet setting lifestyle, what that life is like and also some unbelievable stories about the great things he’s seen including Anzac Day at Gallipolli, some very hairy stories including earthquakes, being locked up for 16 days in a foreign country, driving through gunshots and protesters and also some hilarious stories from his time on the road. Shaun also opens up on tough times he’s had including being his step mother’s battle with MND which took a toll on him and the family and how he managed this while being away, being the first person in a foreign county to be diagnosed with COVID and how he worked his way through the death of a co worker under his management. These things took a massive toll on him and he gives great insights and advice on how he dealt with them and tips for others.

Episode #48 - Trent Keep 2.0
Wednesday Apr 19, 2023
Wednesday Apr 19, 2023
On this weeks show it was great to catch up with former guest Trent Keep. They normally say sequels are less interesting than originals but in Trent’s case he’s probably been through more since I last spoke to him than what we spoke about in our first chat. While playing cricket Trent suffered in incident which left him concussed and after having issues with concussion previously this would have life changing consequences. Trent speaks about the incident, he speaks openly about the days and emotions following and what effect it all had on him physically and emotionally. With head injuries being such a hot topic in the sporting world it was great to get a first hand account of what it is like living with symptoms caused and Trent articulates really well his thoughts on what could happen moving forward to protect sufferers. Trent also opens up on the responses he received to his first chat with us and how he now uses his story to help others which is where his passion is.

Wednesday Apr 05, 2023
Wednesday Apr 05, 2023
This week it was a real pleasure to sit down and chat with Moriarty farmer Caitlin Radford. We chat about the role farming and agriculture plays in society, her challenges in being a woman and breaking down barriers in a traditional male dominated industry, her personal journey including illness, body image and dark times as a kid and how her love for horses and the farm helped her get through through this. We also get some fantastic relationship tips from Caitlin as she and her partner Owen at times are a long way apart while also being business partners so it’s a great insight into how to maintain your relationship but also function as business partners at the same time and no farming chat would be complete without a good chat about the weather and how this impacts production and sometimes it can be catastrophic. This is a great chat for anyone wanting to get some inspiration and motivation to take a leap into an area where they may not think they fit or will be successful, you’ll hear how Caitlin did it and how you can do it too.
